INSPIRING THE NEXT GENERATION OF SCIENTISTS
The 21st century’s economy is creating more jobs that require not only a college education but also expertise in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math, collectively known as STEM. In 2011, the Long Island Community Foundation awarded a grant to the L.I. Museum of Science and Technology (LIMSAT) to work with Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL), a U.S. Department of Energy research center, to create a Long Island STEM Hub.
