June 25, 2020 –The COVID-19 Long Island Philanthropic Response Fund was created to aid nonprofit service providers struggling with the health and economic effects of the coronavirus.

The list below reflects nearly $1 million in grants that were made to more than 70 organizations.

The funding allowed nonprofits to provide meals and groceries, transition to online contact with telehealth equipment, purchase protective supplies, among other needs. Grants also helped groups with increased staffing costs and childcare for essential workers.
