Since inception, The Long Island Community Foundation has operated as an affiliate of The New York Community Trust.
As part of our centennial celebrations, we are creating a single, unified organization to more powerfully advocate for our region with one voice.
We will still maintain our physical offices in Long Island with the same dedicated staff who will continue to honor and build upon our relationships with local nonprofits and communities.

The New York Community Trust. For Long Island. Forever.
In the midst of everything else that’s going on, Census 2020 launched this week. Many of us have already received the form in the mail. It can be completed and sent back via regular mail OR completed online at www.My2020Census.gov.
Census data is the basis for understanding the extent of the COVID-19 crisis. Census data is the way we understand where there are concentrations of the most vulnerable populations (i.e. the elderly). Census data is how we understand the capacity of public health systems in various locations (i.e. medical professionals per capita, hospital beds per capita). And census population data will be the basis of future $$ allocations in response to this public health crisis.
WE NEED ACCURATE CENSUS DATA – PLEASE BE COUNTED! And encourage your friends, neighbors, and family to be counted.
