Since inception, The Long Island Community Foundation has operated as an affiliate of The New York Community Trust.

As part of our centennial celebrations, we are creating a single, unified organization to more powerfully advocate for our region with one voice.

We will still maintain our physical offices in Long Island with the same dedicated staff who will continue to honor and build upon our relationships with local nonprofits and communities.

Creating a Donor-Advised Fund at The Trust

Since 1924, The New York Community Trust and its Long Island and Westchester divisions have helped caring New Yorkers become informed philanthropists. We look forward to welcoming you to our donor community.

  1. Click the button below to complete the Donor-Advised Fund form. (Alternatively, you can click here to download a copy of the form and return it to us.)
  2. We will send you a fund agreement letter for your signature.
  3. We will send you instructions for contributing to your new fund (inital contribution minimum of $5,000) and choosing the investment vehicle, as well as log-in information for our easy-to-use online donor portal.
