Local Issue Areas

Before we make a grant, we study the needs of Long Island. Making grants that make a difference requires a good understanding of the problems you're trying to fix, the methods that others have tried and how they've fared, and the capabilities of the organization proposing a program. Our expert board and staff continually review our grant-making priorities, strong donor interest, and research the most significant community needs in order to achieve the best measurable results and greatest positive impact for all of Long Island.
